THE BRIEF
iPSL are the market leader in processing domestic cheques across the UK, processing half a billion cheques per year, worth more than £700 billion. The company entrusts RCL with the maintenance of their built assets, comprising office accommodation and data processing centres located across the UK, with the vital requirement to ensure a secure environment and N+1 resilience for all business critical systems.
OUR APPROACH
Our understanding of IPSL’s requirements, business strategy and objectives has been key to setting up a robust dedicated team comprising static residential engineers supported by mobile engineers for smaller, more remote sites including a responsive 24/7 365 Helpdesk service. We have on average 45 operatives working annually for IPSL, plus our central office management team.
KEY CHALLENGES
The stringent operational requirements of IPSL’s business model demands that the key performance indicators (KPI’s) are calibrated to reflect this, and as such we manage and monitor all aspects of IPSL’s service scope including corrective escalation procedures to ensure goals are met. Vital to meeting and exceeding IPSL’s expectations are our QA processes such as PFC 27 Continual Improvement and Non Conformity Reports are designed to ensure that the right expertise with the right experience consistently deliver to the highest standards. This is evidenced by our track record of meeting and exceeding IPSL baseline targets by on average 5% in every single year of operation.
Another of the key challenges to working with a client with high security premises and high security data infrastructure is interfacing with systems in this respect RCL’s stringent IT policy and insistence that supply chain partners do the same has been paramount in preventing potential breaches.
OUR SOLUTION
We provide full PPM and reactive services relating to all M&E, building fabric and canteen equipment. We rigorously ensure that IPSL brief requirements are aligned with statutory regulations, industry best practice and in accordance with CIBSE Guidelines SFG20. We have a close collaborative relationship with IPSL and work jointly with them and sub-contractors in improvement and opportunity workshops.
It's a relationship that has continually resulted in an acknowledged track record of programmed works finishing on time and in budget.
