KEY CHALLENGES
Due to the Covid-19 constraints in force during the project, we worked closely with all stakeholders to ensure that the critical works could continue whilst ensuring construction and other outdoor work guidelines were always adhered to.
We needed to ensure the continuity of clinical service delivery at each hospital during the works, so RCL project managers developed a phased programme jointly with the client to deliver
works across three different hospital sites in tandem, minimising downtime and minimising any impact on patient throughput.
The works occurred within operational hospital departments, so the RCL project team segregated individual X-ray rooms to guarantee both patient's and staff’s safety whilst minimising disruption to the operations of each hospital department.
We planned and provided logistical support for the delivery of the X-ray equipment to ensure a smooth install.
We coordinated and worked collaboratively with the Hospital Estates teams and Senior Authorised Person to facilitate seamless commissioning of all M&E services.
