RCL have been engaged by RSA for the total refurbishment of their York Street building in Manchester. The design and build contract includes architectural, M&E and PH services throughout the building, with Cat A and Cat B design being completed in parallel.

Whilst the building will remain partially occupied during the works, we have devised a phased handover of floors to manage the restacking of existing tenants during the project.

Other challenges include the de-commissioning and removal of external cradles and roof equipment which will require multiple crane lifting events, as well as a managed street closure whilst new access to the reception areas is created.

The project is being progressed via an accelerated programme, with multiple phased handovers.
