THE BRIEF
BMI Goring Hall Hospital in West Sussex treats a mix of private and NHS patients, with orthopaedics and oncology forming a large proportion of the imaging department’s workload.
OUR APPROACH
We installed an Ingenia 1.5T MRI system for BMI Goring Hall Hospital as part of enabling works and full infrastructure Mechanical & Electrical services. The project, valued at over £280K saw our supply of design and build as well as the full integration of services.
KEY CHALLENGES
This project involved the installation of a new MRI scanner as well as enabling works and full infrastructure services, with specific HTM/HBN requirements.
As the scanner needed to be installed within a working hospital environment, this became a challenging and focused programme. The project required that we devise and implement a full access and egress plan for staff, patients and construction personnel to ensure safety and efficiency was maintained during works. We also worked collaboratively with utilities service providers to ensure that there was minimal disruption to hospital utilities during the build.
